For Voice Lessons with Emily’s Music Studio
Welcome to the studio! We are so excited to begin working with you. Before we get started, please take a moment to review our key studio policies below. These terms are also listed on the scheduling and purchase page, but this serves as an extra reminder to make sure everything is clear.
In addition, if you are taking a virtual lesson with us, please be sure to familiarize yourself with the Original Sound for Musicians setting on Zoom. This setting works best on a computer, but a phone or tablet is fine as well.
Monthly Subscription Overview
Each subscription includes 4 private lessons (60 minutes each) every 30 days. The plan renews automatically and resets your credits at the start of each new billing cycle.
You may schedule ahead into the next month if needed, but all lessons must be booked before your current cycle ends. Any unused lessons will expireand do not roll over.
If you cancel your subscription, any lessons scheduled beyond the unpaid renewal date will be automatically canceled. Remaining credits will expire at the end of that cycle.
Subscriptions are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Lessons must be rescheduled or canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid forfeiture.
Each lesson can only be rescheduled once, and must be moved to a date within 7 days of the original time.
We will not be responsible for lesson reminders (calls, texts, emails, etc.) if the student is late for the scheduled lesson.
Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) and no-shows result in loss of that lesson.
Refunds are not available for missed, canceled, or unused lessons except in rare emergencies with a doctor's note or at the instructor’s discretion.
Attendance & No-Show Policy
Please arrive on time for your scheduled lesson.
If you’re running late, send a quick text or email.
If no contact is made within 10 minutes of the start time, the session is marked as a no-show and cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
Lessons that start late due to the student will still end at the original time.
Payment & Scheduling
Payment is due in full at the time of booking.
Monthly plans renew automatically every 30 days.
Lessons are held either virtually (via Zoom) or in-person with an add-on fee.
General Studio Policies
Professional conduct: Please maintain a positive, respectful environment during all sessions.
Confidentiality: All personal information, goals, and lesson content remain private.
Health & safety: You are responsible for your own well-being during lessons. If you have allergies or medical conditions affecting your voice, please share them with me.
Liability: Emily’s Music Studio is not responsible for injuries sustained during lessons.
By continuing with lessons, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. These policies help protect your time, your teacher's time, and ensure we can maintain a consistent and supportive learning environment.
